Welcome
Mission
The mission of the Office for Academic and Student Affairs is to recruit, admit, educate, nurture, and graduate a diverse group of future physicians who will aspire to and maintain the highest standards of excellence in their personal and professional lives.
Vision
Our goal is to promote and create a compassionate and productive learning environment for each student at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. To this end, the Office for Academic and Student Affairs provides mentorship and guidance, leading to the enrichment and support of students’ academic, personal, and career development. We are committed to an experience that allows students to have time for reflection and creativity, as well as to explore diverse pathways for success. With access to many resources for mentorship, including research faculty, clinicians, educators, and peers, Mount Sinai students are able to share the responsibility for their professional development and growth.
Students are expected to maintain the highest standard of excellence, befitting their vocation, by honoring the patient-physician relationship, advancing science, promoting education, and caring and advocating for the community.
Your comments and suggestions are welcome, both now and in the future.
