AgeLine
AGELINE (1978 - present), produced by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), provides bibliographic coverage of social gerontology, which is the study of aging in psychological, health-related, social, and economic contexts. The delivery of health care to the older population and its associated costs and policies is particularly well covered, as are consumer, employment, and public policy issues.

GIDEON - (Global Infectious Disease and Epidemiology Network)
GIDEON is an interactive and frequently updated global infectious disease knowledge management tool that can be used for diagnosis and reference in the fields of tropical and infectious diseases, epidemiology, microbiology, and antimicrobial chemotherapy. GIDEON presents information on every major and minor infectious disease that has been described (bacterial, viral, parasitic and fungal) on a worldwide basis, country by country.

Global Health
Global Health is a specialized international public health database that addresses the core public health literature. It contains over 1 million records, 95% of which contain informative abstracts, and covers more than 3500 serials, as well as a similar number of non-serial sources - books, book chapters, reports, conference proceedings, patents, theses, and electronic-only publications added annually. It also includes unique content in the areas of tropical medicine, infectious diseases, vector control, food safety, and epidemiology. This database also includes information about foreign language journals, books, research reports, patents and standards, dissertations, conference proceedings, annual reports, public health, developing countries, and other difficult to obtain material.

Global Health Archive - (1910 to 1983)
Global Health Archive features 800,000 bibliographic records from 1910 to 1983. The records have been taken from six pre-electronic publications: Tropical Diseases Bulletin (1912-83); Abstracts on Hygiene and Communicable Diseases (1926-1983); Review of Veterinary and Medical Entomology (1913-72); Review of Veterinary and Medical Mycology (1943-72); Nutrition Abstracts and Reviews (1931-72); and Helminthological Abstracts (1932-72). The fully searchable database provides strong coverage of public health, tropical and communicable diseases, nutrition, helminthology, entomology, and mycology. Google Scholar - (How to Connect to Full Text with Google Scholar)
Google Scholar is a version of Google that enables you to search for peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts, and technical reports from broad areas of research. Use Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web. Identify papers that cite an article of interest in by following its "Cited by" link.

Health Services Research Queries - (HSR Queries)
HSR Queries provides specialized MEDLINE/PubMed searches on healthcare quality and costs. Searches may be broad or narrow; and can be focused on categories including Appropriateness, Process assessment, Outcomes assessment, Costs, Economics, and Qualitative research.

Healthcare Standards Directory Online
The Healthcare Standards Directory Online is a comprehensive guide to healthcare standards, practice guidelines, and other official documents. The database includes standards issued by medical societies, professional associations, government agencies, and other health-related organizations. Many of these documents are not identified in MEDLINE. Due to copyright restrictions, users must contact the issuing organization (or other sources, where identified) to order standards.

HSRProj - Health Services Research Projects in Progress
HSRProj, a database from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), provides contains descriptions of health services research in progress funded by federal and private grants and contracts. It also provides access to information before research results are available in a published form, including study design and methodology, demographic characteristics of the study group, number of subjects in the study population, population base of the study sample, and source of the project data.

NLM Gateway - (Searches multiple NLM databases)
The NLM Gateway provides a single search interface for multiple NLM resources, including MEDLINE/PubMed, the NLM Catalog, a variety of consumer health and toxicology resources, OMIM, and more. It also includes abstracts from HIV/AIDS, Health Services Research, and Space Life Sciences meetings.

POPLINE - (POPulation information onLINE)
POPLINE the world's largest database on reproductive health. It provides more than 300,000 citations with abstracts to scientific articles, reports, books, and unpublished reports in the field of population, family planning, and related health issues.

ProQuest Direct
Provides the full-text of articles from the databases ABI Inform, ProQuest Newspapers, ProQuest Health Management, and the Research Library. Includes national and international newspapers, magazines and trade publications. Also includes a wide range of peer-reviewed journals, including those from the social sciences, business and health sciences.

RxAssist
RxAssist offers a current, comprehensive database of patient assistance programs run by pharmaceutical companies to provide free medications to people who cannot afford to buy their medicine, and makes application forms available online. Created by Volunteers in Health Care (VIH), a national resource center for safety net organizations, which operates out of the Brown University Center for Primary Care and Prevention. Site is sponsored by Astra Zeneca. Free Registration required.

TOXNET - Toxicology Data Network
TOXNET (TOXicology Data NETwork) provides integrated online searching of over a dozen databases covering toxicology, hazardous chemicals, environmental health, and related areas. It can be used to locate toxicology data, literature references, and toxic release information on particular chemicals as well as to search to identify chemicals that cause specific effects.

ToxSeek
ToxSeek is a meta-search and clustering engine provided by the National Library of Medicine for over 50 environmental health and toxicology information resources including the NLM, NIH, CDC, EPA, FDA, the World Health Organization, and the National Safety Council (NSC).

Web of Science
The Web of Science provides web access to the citation indexes of the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). Included are Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index.
