AccessMedicine AccessMedicine is a collection of full text, searchable textbooks covering internal medicine, cardiology, genetics, emergency medicine, ob/gyn, surgery, and more. Titles include Harrison's Online, Hurst's the Heart, and Metabolic and Molecular Basis of Inherited Disease. AccessSurgery Organized around the ACGME's mandate for a core curriculum, AccessSurgery.com is an integrated surgical resource. Content includes: surgical videos and animations; textbooks such as Schwartz's Principles of Surgery, Maingot's Abdominal Operations, and Zollinger's Atlas of Surgical Operations ; self-assessment and board review materials and more. Anatomy.TV Anatomy.TV is an interactive 3D model of human anatomy. The database provides detailed views of anatomy at various levels from bone to surface structure. Models can be rotated and layers can be peeled away to view medically accurate representations of anatomical structures. Interactive quizzes and multiple-choice questions help test student knowledge. Bates Visual Guide to Physical Examination, 4th edition Bates' Visual Guide to Physical Examination contains streaming video modules showing step-by-step examinations with rationales for the clinicians' actions. It also contains expanded discussions of health history taking, interviewing, and describing findings. eMedicine Emedicine offers thousands of peer-reviewed, disease specific articles written and edited by over 7,000 physicians. Articles typically cover clinical presentation, differentials, workup, treatment, medication, follow-up, and bibliography. EMedicine also includes over 100 medical tools and calculators, as well as searchable image and drug databases, and over 30,000 images, radiographs, CT scans, and streaming video clips. HEAL (The Health Education Assets Library) The Health Education Assets Library (HEAL) is a digital library of over 21,000 high-quality images, audio and video clips and presentations for health sciences educators and learners. It has an exceptional multimedia collection, with more than 900 animations and videos alone. Most of the resources in HEAL's collections are licensed for free use, reproduction, and/or modification by registered users of HEAL, according to the terms of the Creative Commons license associated with that resource. images.MD Images.MD contains more than 50,000 high-quality images covering all specialties of internal medicine. Users can automatically convert images into PowerPoint presentations, download selected, and run simulated slide shows online. Free registration is required. Mount Sinai Archives Image Database The Mount Sinai Archives has thousands of photographic images of Mount Sinai and its staff dating from the first hospital building in 1855. This database is a rich source for images from the Mount Sinai Archives. NetAnatomy This interactive human anatomy resource uses images, labels, descriptions and quizzes to teach radiographic, cross-sectional and gross anatomy. |
